Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Population Pharmacokinetic Analysis of Teicoplanin among Chinese Patients with Gram-Positive Infections in a Tertiary Hospital

Background. To explore the use of teicoplanin among Chinese patients with Gram-positive infections in a tertiary hospital. Methods. The medical records patients, who were monitored for plasma concentration (TPC) from December 2017 to February 2019, collected. By combining therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) and nonlinear mixed-effects model, population pharmacokinetic (PPK) model was established. Results. proportions TPCs lower higher than 10 mg/L nearly same (102 vs. 108 cases). A two-compartment PPK Compared 400 mg, 600 mg regimen more able reach target (10 mg/L), especially high-weight patients. Conclusions. standard teicoplanin, failed value present population. Moreover, feasible based on TDM individualized dosing adjustment.
